My mom is and was my inspiration in life. Fighting the battle with cancer two times and ultimately losing last year, now more than ever I am dedicated to promoting cancer research and natural, healthy lifestyles. Cancer is a very complicated illness that can stem from so many sources. After seeing some of my family members fight this disease, and especially through going through the experience with my mom, I realize that I am not alone. Too many people lose loved ones to this disease and so I’m very passionate about helping anyone I can to either beat the battle, or prevent from ever having to experience it.
There are lot of different beliefs out there as to what is healthy for us. I personally think that most “overthink” what healthy really is! I believe that the key to health is everything in moderation. It is important not to focus all of your energy on being “healthy” in one aspect of your life (like sleep, exercising or eating); it is more important to try the best you can (even if its just a little) in ALL areas. When you are “balanced” in your efforts, you tend to be less stressed and therefore less likely to encounter problems….like the dreaded “C” word. There are many simple things you can do to achieve this.
I’ve learned a lot from my own research, doctors, and others throughout my life experiences. While I’m not a doctor, I do have beliefs on healthy lifestyles based on what I’ve learned that I am happy to share!
